A yummy twist on the classic turkey burger! This easy recipe from my new Quick Meals with Macros guide is calling your name! I am so excited to be sharing this project with you guys! And the Thai Turkey Burger is one of my fave dishes. I wanted to give you a glimpse into what you could expect from the guide! This burger is a tasty one if I do say so myself.

Thai Turkey Burger Recipe

I am a huge fan of simple meals. If you saw my recent post about what I eat in a day you’ll know I eat pretty frequently. And you'll know that I consume around 2000 calories on any given day. 2000 calories a day is a whole heck of a lot of food!

One area where I have to really work to be on my game is taking the time to eat meals. Does this sound like you? I have a tendency to want to grab a quick snack. And while that’s not a bad thing - we really eat so much better when we set aside some time to put together a proper meal complete with veggies and on a proper plate.

I'm sure it's something you struggle with too since we all battle managing all the tasks we need to get done daily! It's important to eat healthy, but often times we just don't have the schedule that allows us to prioritize making meals. I totally understand and want to help with some simple meals like this one!

Recently, I started providing macro breakdowns in all of the recipes I create for The Bikini Experiment. My goal was to add this on to eliminate any of the guesswork when it comes to online recipes. Paying attention to nutritional breakdowns is truly important to see physical results.

Thai Turkey Burger

Yield 1 Serving

Ingredients

  • 4 Ounces 99% Lean Ground Turkey
  • 1⁄2 Cup Purple Cabbage
  • 1⁄2 Cup Bean Sprouts
  • 1 Medium Carrot
  • 1 Tablespoon Peanut Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon Coconut Aminos
  • 1⁄8 Teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • Pinch Pink Himalayan Salt

Instructions

  1. Form the ground turkey into a burger patty. Grill plain (no added seasonings). Chop cabbage and shred the carrot.
  2. Coat and heat a saucepan with coconut oil spray over medium heat on the stovetop. Add veggies and saute until tender.
  3. Create sauce by mixing together the peanut butter, coconut aminos, ginger and salt.
  4. Layer veggies and add sauce to the top of the burger.

Macro Breakdown

Macronutrients are simply the way we categorize foods – carbohydrates, proteins and fats. Food quality is a very important part of the puzzle when it comes to nutrition. But the macros we digest are a big part of how we look and feel as well. This recipe is a nice balance of mostly proteins and carbohydrates with some healthy fats.
